Really pleased with the update Dyche gave after the game in that he was talking etc.

I'm down the other end but it looked a very nasty one and McNeil's reaction had me fearing the worst.

Made me love McNeil even more. You can tell he's got a lovely nature has the lad.

get well soon Beto.  I thought i seen tarks gesture to his mouth, hopefully his skull brain & teeth are ok.

McNeill looked very upset for quite a while, hope Beto makes a quick and full recovery.

He's been released from hospital and all his tests were clear.

Glad to hear, saw his post on his Instagram confirming he is okay.

Said in the match day thread but that was his best showing for us in my opinion. Fought for everything & the ball stuck to him a lot better.

It takes time for many to adjust to the pace and physicality of the Premier League. We expect foreign players to simply jump in, and some are able to do so, but others take time. I would expect Beto to steadily improve and, if we're patient, he could become a major asset.

Love the optimism, but I don't think he'll ever be a major asset anywhere

Sadly I agree. I want to say lack of consistent minutes, adapting to the league ect ect but for such a big lad I really expected him to bully defenders more.

Not writing him off but his physical attributes have not been impressive enough to outweigh his expected technical flaws.

Saw the same from McNeil when their lad went over into the crowd.  Quick to check on him and help him back over

Hopefully DCL was just taken off as a precaution, bit worried with it looking like his calf where he's had issues before.

Beto won't be able to play midweek whether fit or not because of concussion protocols.

a knock dyche thinks which will usually just be a bruise

No way would he have been allowed to carry on after getting treatment if it was anything too serious.

I think we should try to move him on I know we will lose money but try and get a decent amount on him I just don’t think he will make it here.

He's very raw but physically offers something.

Rooney told us to go for adebuyo who ended up at Luton. They got him for a steal. He tried to get him at Washington.

I didn’t know that about Rooney

Personally, I think he offers something. It takes some players a while to acclimatize to the PL. Let's be patient and see how he does when the new season begins.

Sometimes you have to hold your hands up and admit he isn’t good enough and take a hit which we have done in the past I’d be happy if we could get anything near 20m

This season is hard to judge anyone on, let alone a backup striker.

We'll keep him and shift Mopey

He wasn’t bought as a back up striker he was bought for to replace DCL who was injured most of the time.
so what do we do carry on paying wages to Beto for the next couple of years even though he’s not good enough.
I think Chermiti will be ahead of him next year rumour is he wants out anyway so let’s get what we can for him.

I would prefer Chermiti gets more game time too but he's a gamble. I don't think he was a replacement, he was a supposed like for like backup.

Honestly can't judge him on a few appearances. There's something there but not convinced it'll click for him. Also don't see anyone coming in for him

Wouldn't be so bad if we didn't constantly hold our hands up and say we got it wrong - moise kean springs to mind - at least we made a profit on him. My point being our scouts are shit at finding goal scorers.
