Ego is injured.

Has Dyche messed this up it now looks like we will get less money for gray.
we should have let him go weeks ago.
and paid extra money for Gnonto which would have saved us money in the long run.
we might not even get Gnonto now really poor business.

If we had let him go and didn’t get a replacement in then people would be calling for Dyche and Thelwell to be lynched. They have been sensible here.

In the same sense had we sold Gray for 10-15 million Leeds could have slapped that on to whatever price they are asking for Gnonto.

We simply do not know all the fine details of the negotiations but I am glad we are finally showing some financial constraint.

Dyche doesn’t want him so why take this stance he won’t use him at all.
the later it goes into the window the less we get not sensible at all.

They are slapping it on anyway now.
it’s gone from 15 to 17m to what is now being reported to 25/30m although surely we won’t pay this.

There is no certainty the figures quoted in the rumours are accurate. It could have been 25/30m at the start & we were offering 15-17m.

Because if we don’t manage to get a replacement he may use him.
Too many times we’ve sold players and struggled to get a replacement. Much better to handle it like this, with a bit of caution.

Why would we get less because it’s later? It’s not like players have to cost more in July than in August.
Selling teams tend to ask for more towards the end of the window as it gives less time to replace them, as Leeds will with Gnonto. So why would we not do the same?

The reason we won't do the same is as far as I know Gray is in the last year of his contract so if true he walks for nothing next summer gnonto has 4 years we have to sell Gray now also Iwobi walks for free so we need to sell him also or offer him a really good contract to get him to sign..

Which has nothing to do with if we sell him in July or August.

IMO we can’t afford to offer Iwobi a massively improved deal. He’s already one of the highest paid and paying him much more will cause us problems down the line.

Ah thanks.

I'd really not read too much into it to be honest. Very few actually know what's going on and I just stay away from Twatter as a source of any information for anything.
