If you bang your head on a wall you will get a headache, do it again the next day, same result.
We have been doing this for 10 years, and low and behold same results.
I for one want to break that mould, we have an experienced boss, not my first choice, but he knows what Hes doing.
Give him a couple of years, let him get his squad together, then judge him, stop the same old same old.

I don’t know why such concerns about him going he’s been terrible for about 2 years, and now he thinks he can dictate team tactics. From what I’ve read in the past most of the team have been praising Benitez, for his training techniques tactics and knowledge, bar Digne who’s obviously forgot how shit he was before Benitez turned up and has carried that same shit form on since his arrival. If we can get some money for him let’s cash in his course has run here time to move him on.

Unbelievable night, Goodison absolutely rocking and a real Dogs of War performance. Backs to the corner and we absolutely wiped the floor with Arsenal, take away two extremely marginal offsides and it's a 4-1 win.
Can't really think too much about the performance - ears ringing, throat sore. Demarai Grayyyyyy Ole Oleeeeeeeeeee

What a shame it wasn't 95 years since we won something, no problem then.

Didn't this bunch of clowns on the board give him a new contract a few months ago, because they were afraid, he might leave. Only at EFC.

Burnly, Newcastle, Norwich, are all much worse than us. We showed at the beginning of the season that we can play winning football.
At the start of the season with a full squad we were playing well, our biggest problems are we lack a goal threat because DCL is injured and Rondon is shit. Coleman has fallen off a cliff, Godfrey is only now getting back ro fitness and have not been able to play Alan and Doucoure together in midfield enough.
Benitez did not get Carlo to leave, nor did he get us the squad we have at the moment. Most of the  faults lie with the board, and Brands. Yes his appoinment was decisive and I wanted Potter, but sacking him now will not solve the underlying problems we have. If we sack Benitez who will we get to replace him, and what does his sacking say about us as a club? To me it says that we give managers no time, that we lutch from crisis to crisis with no stability.
Benitez is a very good coach, but he can only do so much when missing key parts of the squad. Fans are now asking how we can spend 500 million pounds and end up with Rondon up front, and that is rightly making us very angry. Although I like alot of what Brands has done failing to have a cover right back, striker and central midfielder is not forgivable and he must go.
We have to sort this mess out, the board must be decisive, show strength, and unity.

I hear what people say about injuries, and full squads, but this was Brentford, championship team, Watford no wins put five past us at Goodison, this is a lot more than a few players missing. Displays have been dire; you don't need to be a top player to work hard.

Don't normally post straight after the match, but if people think that was more effort than recent games then its worse than i thought.
Once again, no spirit, no tactics, no effort, no bottle, no pride, we have not moved on in the last 5 to 10 years.
Decisions taken at the top have been dire, in choice of manager and player recruitment, we have spent a lot of money on very average players, who we never get anything for when we get rid. The money put in by the new owner has been a curse rather than a cure, it gave us false hope and expectations.
All this talk of new stadium, new training ground, player recruitment manager the best in Europe, just takes the focus away from the real problems on the pitch.
Watching to days game was hard, Pickford has gone back to his panicking ways, poor with his feet, poor judgement of his area, bur he was not alone, Kean could have given away 2 pens, Digne has been poor for a long time, Delph summed up the attitude today on the 2nd goal, ran towards the ball and stopped in front of him, no body on line, no blocking the shot, Coleman should have been replaced 2 years ago, Iwobi what does he do, that is EFC now and the 5 years at least.
I know city are a much better side than us, and we would have lost with all our players available, but there are ways to lose, and we are a long way from that.

A bit of a loss with some of the comments on here, this lad shit on us from a great hight, after we had nurtured him from a hopeful kid, into a premier player. Showed no gratitude whatsoever, and people want him back.
I would sooner finish 10 to 15 in the league, than 8th with him in the side, we are EFC not some pub team, when people treat us as bad as he did, he only deserves contempt.

Its going to take time for this to sink in, i mean Watford whipping boys of the prem, if this was city, or Chelsea or even the shite, you have to swallow it, but Watford come on. We kept quiet last year because it was Carlo, we keep quiet no longer even for Raffa, that was unacceptable, and he needs to know how unacceptable it was, no easy gloss over.
Having said that he still has my vote, but he's not above criticism, and has to take full responsibility for it. no excuse with how many players we had missing, this was Watford.

Raffa has done a good job so far, but leaving Iwobi on for 80 mins is mind blowing, i would sooner have seen dobbin on for Rondon, and anyone for Iwobi all second half, nothing to loose and a lot to gain for the youngsters.

Best team performance i have seen in a good few years, with top players missing, the shirt seems to be worth fighting for again, shame about Toms decision to pass from there, but the lad seems very low on confidence, in Raffa we trust.       (well i do anyway)

If this happens its because Raffa has worked with the lad and knows his potential, so at least its a call on knowledge of the player, not a shot in the dark.

Don't get the discussions as whether these 2 are wingers or not, neither pulled up any trees in there heyday, neither held a permanent place in a premier side.
Neither will improve us, this is back to Moyes days when no money was available, why are we in the bargain basement, with billionaire owners, and a new manager who must have had assurances about money available. Even the keeper we have signed is well past his sell by date, if not in years then certainly in talent, any one who watched Bournemouth in the play off semi final would not have been impressed, Hennessey would have been a better bet imo. let alone our own under study keeper.
Why do we have all the highly rated players in the under 21s and under 23s, yet still bring in journeymen with no interest in us or our future.
The whole strategy at the moment worry's me, and points towards another under achieving season.
I hope there is more on offer than has been shown so far.
