StevO
Winning the game is more important to him than a players feelings. I don't think it's any more than that. duncanmckenzieismagic
Shukes
Ye to be fair he did bring on a 6-2 powerhouse to protect from long balls.... He didn't he?
Paddock
He was subbed in the 93rd minute though, I'm not sure what all the fuss is about. It's just part of time wasting surely? He'd been brought on as a sub so he subbed the sub. Pretty shitty that.
Paddock
Mata made it clear he wanted to fight for his place.... Mourinho made it clear that he was wasting his time....... be optimistic Paddock, I think this is a goer. Stop it Haf!!

Hafnia
It's a guaranteed kick in the teeth to any player let alone a quality player . A pure insult. This is mourinho a over. He does things to send messages to players that he's the boss. He usually does it to one or two big names.
pete0
Pogba signing surely means one of UTD's midfielders if not two are surplus to requirements. They are overloaded in Midfield. The midfield won't be overloaded as they play different positions, Pogba is a CM, and Mata an AM
markjazzbassist
The midfield won't be overloaded as they play different positions, Pogba is a CM, and Mata an AM not true, if you watched the euros you would have seen that pogba can't defend well and was heavily supported by the amazing backline at Juve. He's an AM and will be for them. they already have enough defensive mids, schneiderlin, carrick, etc.

Romey 1878
haha damnit i got caught up in the DCM, CM, ACM mess. There's another reason why we should all go with Steve's way of doing it!
MikeO
The midfield won't be overloaded as they play different positions, Pogba is a CM, and Mata an AM I think Pogba is a PDQ while Mata is an ASAP; they already have Fellaini as an RSVP so I see no problem . Cornish Steve
Just go the MU website and all will be clear. Jones is #4 (right half); Rojo is #5 (centre half); and they're missing a left half. That's their problem, don't you see? As for Mata, he's their inside right. Why does everyone have to make this so complicated?

EFC-Paul
Sick of seeing this #Pogback bollocks the lads decent but far from world class IMO They've got an abundance of midfielders I wouldn't be surprised to see two or three shipped out before the window closes #MatacometoEvertonyoulittleshit
StevO
Mata and Schneiderlin please, I'd take Hererra at a push too. Fuck it, throw Schweinsteiger in for a bit of squad depth. How about Mata, Schneiderlin, Hererra and Schweinsteiger in a swap for Stones and £20m? Come on Jose, do the right thing.

Only reason he left was because Ferguson refused to entertain the kind of contract his twat of an agent was demanding. Seen those post-signing pictures? The boy thinks he's Usain Bolt and Floyd Mayweather rolled into one. The United hater in me hopes he will be a massive flop.

I doubt he'll be a flop per se, but I can't see him ever looking like an £89m player. That sort of price means you're a special player and he's not. Although in defense of Pogba, he left because at the time he was on the cusp of a first team place, Ferguson convinced Scholes out of retirement and used Rafael as a centre mid instead of giving him a go, citing they had 'no other options' (during an injury crisis) was the straw that broke the camels back. Mirallas
Back to the Mata thread. Mourinho subbing a sub just shows what a poor decision the first subbing was. No, that's just a typical Mourinho move. He'll sub subs or get a sub ready to come on, but send him back to the bench real quick in favor of another kind of player. It all depends on his interpretation of the course of the game. He's not afraid to do unorthodox substitution practices on the spot. Doesn't necessarily mean anything about the players in question.
