Jordan Pickford

I think he focuses easier when he has to. So a few goals up and he loses a bit of concentration.
But to be fair, all he did was two miss kicks. Nothing major.

it was the weird dive punches too .... A bit erratic and unnecessary.  Threw himself to the floor.  Was a bit indicative of him losing himself a bit - no great shakes but I'd like to see him control himself/settle himself down.

Didn’t think any of that was out of the ordinary for him really. He often does punch rather than catch, never been a fan of it, but it’s what he does.
I think if any other keeper did the few things being discussed it wouldn’t even come up in conversation.

It wasn't the punch as such ... It was the weird jump and fall forward. ...  Very odd but non the less he cleared it.

Former England goalkeeper and record caps holder Peter Shilton has been reflecting on Jordan Pickford's performance last night.

"He didn't look quite assured as he has done but it's not a criticism. A couple of distributions early on could have resulted in goals but he made a terrific save in the second half and has done in the tournament.

"As a keeper you can be remembered sometimes for things that have gone wrong and not for the all the good things but they're in the final and hopefully he can keep another clean sheet."

Best moment was when he gave that ball away, as soon as the ball was out of play he held his hands up and apologised. He likes gutted he had made a mistake.

Agreed. That said, was that not the first of two instances....so while he apologized he went on to make a similar mistake (Distribution related). I could be wrong and the one he apologized for was the 2nd instance.

Coming from shilton..... A keeper who couldn't jump.  His perm was too heavy.

Did it against the Ukraine when he sliced the clearance and I was just so happy to see his reaction. No cocky smile or shit just acknowledged he could have done better and he owned that.

It is weird Donnarumma got player of the tournament over Jordan. They both saved 2 penalties in the final, Jordan let in less goals and had more clean sheets. The fact Italy won shouldn't really come into it.

Not weird, ridiculous, Donnarumma wasn't even second to Jordan in the golden gloves rankings (though a bit confused as to why Jordan is listed as Portuguese:unsure:)!

Golden Glove is given to the keeper who kept most clean sheets, just like golden boot is given to the player who scored most goals. Player of the tournament is given to the best performer.

Golden Gloves only awarded at World Cup, not Euros.

Which still doesn't justify Donnarumma winning it by any rationale I can think of, not saying Jordan should have, just that Donnarumma shouldn't.

Yup it's not a real thing....but if it was Jordan would have it.
