But to be fair, all he did was two miss kicks. Nothing major. it was the weird dive punches too .... A bit erratic and unnecessary. Threw himself to the floor. Was a bit indicative of him losing himself a bit - no great shakes but I'd like to see him control himself/settle himself down.

He often does punch rather than catch, never been a fan of it, but it’s what he does. I think if any other keeper did the few things being discussed it wouldn’t even come up in conversation. Matt
Nervy and solid at the same time last night. Done well overall though, fingers crossed it really is a corner turned.

MikeO
Former England goalkeeper and record caps holder Peter Shilton has been reflecting on Jordan Pickford's performance last night. "He didn't look quite assured as he has done but it's not a criticism. A couple of distributions early on could have resulted in goals but he made a terrific save in the second half and has done in the tournament. "As a keeper you can be remembered sometimes for things that have gone wrong and not for the all the good things but they're in the final and hopefully he can keep another clean sheet." Shukes
Best moment was when he gave that ball away, as soon as the ball was out of play he held his hands up and apologised. He likes gutted he had made a mistake. Matt, Hafnia and StevO

I could be wrong and the one he apologized for was the 2nd instance.

Coming from shilton..... A keeper who couldn't jump. His perm was too heavy.

Popular Post Isaiah
Brilliant tonight (and all tournament, with a bit of a wobble against Denmark), can hold his head very high. 2 saves ought to be enough to win you a penalty shootout. I've spent some time browsing other teams' fan forums and it's good to see everyone saying the same thing: he was immense in this final. Sure he has his tics, as all players do, and he's still prone to the odd rush of blood to the head, but he's worked so hard on his mental approach to the game. He comes across as somewhat human in a world of cold, boring robot athletes. Proud of him, happy he's ours, and looking forward to giving him a massive cheer when the new season starts. Wiggytop
He’s had a brilliant tournament, really surprised he didn’t win the player of the tournament having only conceded 2 goals in open play. He even had the pundits praising him on BBC, didn’t watch ITV coverage so I’ve no idea if Lee Dixon still has his head up his arse over Pickford. Popular Post Hoof_It_Nev
It is weird Donnarumma got player of the tournament over Jordan. They both saved 2 penalties in the final, Jordan let in less goals and had more clean sheets. The fact Italy won shouldn't really come into it. Not weird, ridiculous, Donnarumma wasn't even second to Jordan in the golden gloves rankings (though a bit confused as to why Jordan is listed as Portuguese)! Haiku
Golden Glove is given to the keeper who kept most clean sheets, just like golden boot is given to the player who scored most goals. Player of the tournament is given to the best performer.

Haiku
Good point. I'm also curious why they gave Donnarumma player of the tournament award. I would've expected Bonnuci to get it. Jorginho was as close, but that missed penalty took the prize away from him.
