people do that over darts?  Here in America its considered an activity you can do at a bar, not a sport.

The winner of the PDC World champs gets £2.5m! Quite a few quid in it over here.

Next time you're over here go to a match, I shit you not you'll love it Mark.

I understand were your coming from, and I often wonder what constitutes a sport and what doesn’t, and darts is definitely one of them a long with Pool and Snooker, they could easily come under entertainment.
But what I would say is at darts you would have a great experience.

The guys who run darts (Barry Heard and his son Eddie) have made it a really fun event to go to. It’s like going to a party but there is a darts competition going on in front of you.

I twice dressed up as a Storm Trooper and escorted John Part to the stage and once in a Hawaiian shirt and flowers escorting Wayne Mardle, both times (the Hawaiian and storm trooper were the same night) at the echo. My mates girlfriend was a producer for Sky Sports and asked him to bring a load of us. When we got to the arena they had a big dressing room just for us, it had a few crates of Carling and loads of Walkers crisps. They asked if any of us wanted to have a spray tan before we went out, but none of us took up the offer. After we had finished we had seats right at the side of the stage with the Sky staff, it was loads of fun. Don’t have a clue about darts, love free drinks.

Ahhh, so the promoters are geniuses.  Sounds the the Kentucky derby over here, no one cares about the horse race they just want to be at the event and parties.

Not a big deal although for a supposed party boy he sure is a slow drinker.

Not a problem with it, it’s his life.
But what a tit he is. Will never be a role model for fans. And I’m sure it will harm his career as the FA won’t want him to be known as England's No1.

But that’s his problem,. As long as he performs for us then he can do whatever he wants.

Just needs to accept it when he’s called a tit for it though.

Working on that basis most of us are tits, and some bigger than others😙

We nearly all go out once a week or fortnight and have a laugh, he goes out once in a blue moon and enjoys himself and gets slated.
As far as I’m aware there’s been no condemnation from the club his country or his managers, probably because there’s nothing to moan about, a young man having fun with a load of people also out to have some fun.
How shocking I mustn’t forget to complain to the stop people enjoying themselves Police 😀

Scandal! 25 year old male goes out with friends on night off! The humanity!

25 year old 100k a week "athlete" goes out and gets shit faced amid a congested fixture list whilst his team is facing a tough challenge and a new manager comes in... is the other way of looking at it.

I don't begrudge players having a life. I used to stand at the bar and have a chat with Ebbrell and Mark Wright when they were playing.... a pint lasted them 40 minutes, and they were low key in a local pub.

I seen osman, hibbert,  carsley out in a bar in Alderley edge - stood quietly away - again just sipping and chatting amongst themselves.

This lad on the last 2 times he's been captured out is acting like he's on a club 18-30 holiday.  To me he looks like he does when he's in between the sticks against Newcastle or Liverpool.... craving attention and making himself heard.

I just don't think his choice of venues and actions is very smart at all.  We've seen all this shit before, Fowler getting nutted twice,  the Leeds lads affray, barkley getting flattened.... how can I say it politely ..... He loves a chav like venue.

Yeah he was shit faced. If you can’t tell then good on you

I can see him playing up for the fellas around him, I’ve seen enough of him being cocky to think he would be just the same if he was drinking orange juice.

It’s not even been major news in the papers, this is England’s no1! The papers would be all over it if there was any sort of scandal.

But hey, guilty until proven innocent with some.

I can.... cos I'm well weathered in all sorts of venues!

To me... to go to bars like the one he went to when he got in a huge kick off suggests he loves attention.

It didnt take long.... a knife pulled on me in a taxi rank,  a 55 year old bloke kicking off cos his wife smiled at me.... to realise that some places just aren't right.

Not saying the darts is that place but the footage of his behaviour justbreeks of "I'm a nobhead feel free to kick off"

How do you know he was shit faced?

Is there further evidence after him having that one drink on camera?

Because I've never seen sober blokes down a pint and stick them on their heads and stand on chairs chanting their name.

To be honest I would hope he was pissed to do that because if he was sober I would have even more concerns.

Why would it be major news? I’m not saying it’s a major thing. I’m making the point he was bladdered. There’s no scandal and i don’t give a fuck about his position as England’s goalkeeper and the press don’t either because they haven’t ran it. All I’m saying is he’s had a day cut that he was banking on his rest to recover

He’s a scally, a chav, whatever you want to call him. He’s typical of lads of his type. Maybe you just don’t spend much time around lads that age now, but there are plenty out there, as unsavoury as they may be.

It would be major news because that is what our media do. They knock our players down as quick as they build them up. His profile as the England keeper is what makes it news worthy. Whenever Wayne Rooney had a few it got in the papers. If there was an issue the press would be all over it.

Fuck me wake up will you? You never been around rugby players? His behaviour isn’t the problem it’s the timescales of getting a new manager

I'm 43.... at 25 I got pissed, stoned and nearly bled to death after being a dickhead. So I'm well aware of being 25.

The point I'm making is that these lads are on short well paid careers.   Go out and have a pint.... don't be a dick though.   He won't need to do something that I did to learn his lesson.... that incident in Newcastle should have been enough of a lesson.

The lad is a bit of a hothead, he engages with opposition fans, he can't help it... He loves being "out there". For me he needs to reign it in a bit.

For me I've seen enough of him to make me think "he doesn't listen.... more so refuses to". The other day he needed to clear a ball and stayed back - digne called him on it. He told him to piss off, then it took Coleman to do it and he refused his advice.  I can't help thinking he's his own worst enemy.

Haf that’s his choice to be fair as it was yours, you have to let people live their lives and make their own decisions and mistakes, none of us on here should be standing in judgement on a young lad out with his mates getting pissed up and having fun, if that is a problem for Everton or England they will deal with it, but as we have as yet not heard any rumblings we can only assume there is no issue.

I suppose we can question his judgement.... cos essentially he represents our club.

He isn't gonna get sold for it or booed, it just points to a worrying mindset and maybe one that indicates we need to get some serious competition for his place to make him knuckle down and show less arrogance.

Talented shot stopper - I just have concerns over his judgement.

I personally don’t stand in judgement because I have done a lot worse, even when older and so say wiser than him, so that would make me hypocrite and that wouldn’t sit well with me.
He has a multitude of support a round him to give him a good advice when needed and also to reprimand him when required.
But he is No1 for us No1 for England and made a worldie on top of a couple of good saves the other day, so he’s doing something right.

What aren’t u getting? Rooney was in the papers not because he had a drink. Rooney got in the papers from what the end result was. Getting knocked out, shagging about.

Any big name England players doing something wrong becomes news. The fact it’s not on the back pages means it’s a nothing issue. If it is an issue the club will handle it, and as they seem to not be doing anything I suspect outside of you and Haf no one else is bothered.

I don’t need to wake up. The lad was out on Saturday and back in training today. He might have had only a couple of drinks. Stop fucking hanging the lad without any evidence.
