StevO
I agree Mark, the social side is massive. Not just for kids. My parents are stuck in the house with my 43 year old sister and her two year old daughter and they all want to kill each other. My wife is on maternity leave with our six month old and she’s going out of her mind not seeing people. She’s broken the rules a few times, in as sensible way as possible just to have more human interaction. She has a friend with a seven month old who sees no one other than her husband, so they meet up most days now and let the kids play. She’s going to see her Mum, but they get tested together (Liverpool region) so they are as safe as they can be. I feel really lucky I get to go to work, or I’d be going crazy. Spending weekends in the same building with nowhere else to go is getting to me enough, so how others are coping is beyond me. I’d be a mess. markjazzbassist and Matt
Matt
The schools in Switzerland are quite different because sizes are actually managed. But regarding the actual teaching, it’s more organised and monitored playtime that school, at least up to 7-8. E is going to have a real shock when she starts school in England (if we can ever get her into one!)
MikeO
Another test this afternoon ahead of hospital appointment Friday, ah well at least it means I can go out for a legal drive Matt and Romey 1878
MikeO
That was the easiest test I've had, the woman didn't jab the swabs in as far as most have done....mind you she did start talking to me in sign language which was a bit confusing Gorgeous weather here as well so I had the roof down, fifteen miles of motorway there and back on smaller roads, fun StevO, Matt, Romey 1878 and 1 other
pete0
When I first seen the headline I thought it was a daily mash article. The UK cannot “close” its border like Australia has because the UK is an island and Australia is a continent, Grant Shapps has said. https://m.huffingtonpost.co.uk/entry/grant-shapps-uk-border-australia_uk_601a78c0c5b668b8db3d3a74?fbclid=IwAR1gR8kzziZYkwtoCnbTOr8g0A1sjzePMF66RY3IlNJE3qbkRYl3FTfJeZ4&guccounter=1&guce_referrer=aHR0cHM6Ly9tLmZhY2Vib29rLmNvbS8&guce_referrer_sig=AQAAAJj_M06PlUrhq9lQpe3ZfE0IHO4gywZC9-B6oMZxrb0VrQWSDzKuvLQpnTCOScKAh17tS37ma2VckLNbrJqmmhXlG9nf9GEKLenNkIoluqTayE_aiVr41tGZCu0QeXBRt0_T8L2m3aIn5qTnQxuMXcmf3wOEggIBiUmIO9f8xBiZ Matt

johnh
I had the Pfizer jab too and for a couple of days got a sharp pain if I touched where they injected. Then found I had a sore finger. (The oldies are the best!). Matt, Palfy, pete0 and 1 other

Matt
Have to go get tested tomorrow for the flight back to England on Sunday. Glad you're feeling better Mark. From the experiences of the people in my life, it varies wildly. My good friend had a horrible time with her second shot, similar to you, but my sister and brother-in-law were fine, just a little headache and sore arm.
