Aiden McGeady

Recommended Posts

He showed with PNE he can do well at championship level and Grayson must have identified him as a player he wanted to take with him, so must have faith. He is a lot more talented than he was able to show for us, hopefully he can go and get his transfer and for a 31year old Everton can pocket a decent fee than can go towards a young start for the future.

Sky sources understand Aiden McGeady and James Vaughan are both on Wearside finalising their respective moves to Sunderland.

Republic of Ireland winger McGeady is currently undergoing his medical after sorting out his contractual situation with Evertonyesterday.

Meanwhile striker Vaughan is discussing personal terms this lunchtime after a fee in the region of £900,000 was accepted by League One side Bury.

McGeady and Vaughan are set to be Simon Grayson's first permanent singings as manager - following the loan arrivals of Brendan Galloway and Ty Browning - also from Everton.
