thoward18
I was joking mate. It just feels like a typical Everton transfer window so I'm anticipating the usual lies. Got it.
Lowensda
It's the length of time though, four years?! I heard 3 is standard, 4 can be expected because it's spread over the duration of a players contract (on average 4 years). It's normal. Whelan's wanting it in 12 months. Not normal. msloan78
They've already got the replacement in with Powell joining from United, as well as the other 10 bodies they've signed. Can not believe this bullshit tonight, but as has been said why wait until deadline day to make all the moves. What was stopping United putting a decent bid in early doors, and for that matter us trying to do work early with McCarthy. Been one of the worst kept secrets that we were after him. So fuckin angry right now!
rubecula
Thing is Dave Whelan already said ages ago that he didn't want or need to sell so it was up to a buying club to pay if they wanted the lad. Everton obviously didn't want him enough to pay the asking price.
Lowensda
It's irrelevant anyway when we won't even match the fee they want. The talk is, we put £7m up front, the rest was in installments. £2m a year potentially...it's not that bad.

gethinO
4 years is ridicilous though. Whelan ain't dumb, he know we'll get at least 20 million for Fellaini, so of course he's gonna say he wants a better offer than the four year payment. Shocking. I'm sorry but Kenwright has gone too far now. He's being doing this every transfer window since I remember and he's always saying we're searching for investment, is he bollocks. Everton football club cannot compete with other teams while he is in charge. Look at the other clubs spending money.... Spurs, Liverpool, City, Swansea, Cardiff, Chelsea, Southampton and yet we manage to sign Kone for 5 million. So pissed off right now. Fearthainn
Fellaini out McCarthy in will probably seem acceptable now after the last few minutes. Probably what the board want. Piss poor.

Zoo
Maybe we just need bigger doors? Nah, Kenwright would try to pay for them in four-part installments. rubecula
