Stadium thread: Reprise edition

Pretty common now in the us. Playing in the rain can wreck the pitch and spectators get wet. Wimbledon now has them, right?

Only on Centre court, and that's only because tennis stops when it rains. Part of football is playing in all conditions for me, not even sure the FA would sanction the use of one.

I like J's ideas.

Personally, one big end stand. Steep and high like J said, intimidating as possible.

Id be happy with the other three sides being bowl/joined if we had one really impressive end stand.

The other three stands to have corporate seating in a small middle tier, like wembley and emirates have.

The granites that have been set up at GP to be continued all around a new stadium, the full way around.

A museum, with the full Everton collection on show.

Parking season tickets. On site parking, booked season long or game by game for each space. Could be a good money spinner.

Do not have one of them plastic pull out tunnels, or a corner tunnel. Centre only.

Any tiers that have a frontage to have the Leicht design visible to take a bit of GP with it.

Some sort of nod towards the church, maybe call the stadium St Luke's Park?

I've had plenty of other thoughts but can't remember them all.

Edit:

A tower incorporated into the corners if possible.

Businesses around GP given first option on possible fast food stalls/shops/pubs outside new ground if legal/possible.

I would like to build a house in Hyde Park too as I have walked past it a couple of times and I have often thought it would be a great place for a house.

I can't afford it now and I have no plans of how to finance it but I thought I would just let you guys know.

Great you have fucked up our plans now, we're gonna have to try to relocate somewhere else.

Obviously if your thinking about it then it's going to happen.

We're staying at Goodison because Bailey has taken our site /:-)

Awful "leaked" design on facebook and twitter here. nearly made me throw up.

Dont think its that bad, just incredibly impractical. Don't want it though :D

I still really wanted something similar to what was proposed to Barca several years ago:

Obviously into the Mersey instead. Idea I had was to link up with the group who want a hydro electric plant in the mouth of the river (because its one of the most powerful tides in the world apparently), but it was always going to be a pipe dream (might've mentioned it once or twice!) :)

Have you mentioned anything about rail links too? Thought that should be the bases of our argument to build the stadia.

Heres a decent site for examples of what can be done.

50,000 - 54,999 capacity

55,000 - 59,999 capacity

Hamburg is brilliant imo. 47,000 seats, 10,000 safe standing.

Borussia is pretty good too. 37,440 seats, 15,708 safe standing.
