We dont push enough players up simple as that. 6 defensive players means in the attacking 3rd we never have enough men in the opposition half quick enough. whats this bullshit about cleverly we must be shit if people think were missing him, he's not the answer squad player at best.

Cleverley had us playing quicker and was making more forward passes than anyone else.

Look at the Southampton game for proof. Others as well in case you aren't convinced.

Point was probably a fair result, neither team did enough to deserve 3.

Found it difficult to pick a mom, thought a few were slightly below par, ie Mirallas, McCarthy and Barkley.

You can see Barkley will be class one day, you just have to wonder about the coaching staff, how to get Ross to choose the correct pass at the right time.Get that right and he could be unplayable, he can win the ball and he can run with it, the next step WILL come, but it's about getting it sorted quickly, I don't know, maybe the movement off the ball by his team mates don't help, there's just that final piece of the jigsaw missing from his game.

Looking forward to seeing Baines back, it's easy to forget at his best what he does for the team, also thought today Lukaku was starved of decent service today, but what a great timed run and finish.

Bring on Villa and no mercy.

Apart from the first 5 or 10 minutes I thought we did reasonably well. They were all over us early on, it was quite worrying, but we settled into the game after that. The only problems we had, imo, were that West Ham were just that bit sharper than us in attack and that our left side was a liability. We had a good amount of the ball but, as we've seen many times, we lacked ideas going forward and were a bit slow in our play. Galloway was getting destroyed, partly through his own doing and partly because he had no support. So it was no surprise that their goal came from a ball out into the box from our left side. Our defence didn't deal with that ball in very well but there was nothing that could've been done about the finish, it was pure quality. Apart from that I thought our defence did very well in the first half really. When we eventually did click in attack it gave us our equaliser. And what a ball it was by Deulofeu for Lukaku to race on to once again. Inch perfect. You give this lad the ball and he'll make things happen. Barkley should look at the last two games and learn something - get your head up and see what's ahead of you instead of charging forward with your head down. The goal came right before half-time and it gave us momentum but there just wasn't enough time to really capitalise on it.

So, I went into half-time reasonably happy if I'm honest, but knowing we had things we needed to improve upon.

I think we did improve on those things and managed to keep the momentum we'd built up going. We had a much better tempo about our play and we looked much more threatening going forward. Where the first half was quite cagey the second half was a lot more end to end. It wasn't good for the nerves but I thought we had the better chances to score because our defence remained as solid as in the first half, and we finally realised that Galloway needed some protection. It seemed destined that there would be a winning goal (for us) so it was a surprise that it finished a draw. We had one excellent chance right at the end of the game that left me in despair! While I'd have taken a point here before the game based on what actually transpired I was disappointed not to take all three.

Howard - Made the saves he needed to man and could do nothing about their goal.

Galloway - Got ripped apart defensively. I can't be too harsh on him though because he's still very young and it's not even his natural position. Tbh, we've done very well to get away with him playing there for this long and getting Baines back will be great. Ironically, his best moment of the game came in attack when he put the ball in to Lukaku who narrowly hit the ball wide.

Funes Mori - Looked dodgy last game but was back to his no compromising self yesterday. He was a good mix of coolness with the ball and just smashing it away when the need arose. And aerially he really is invaluable, in attack and defence. Anything that was put in our box he was after it, and he got on the end of a few down the West Ham end too - one game soon he's going to connect with one of those properly and power it home.

Stones - Below par performances because he doesn't want to play for us? I think yesterday makes a mockery of statements like that. The Upton Park pitch will have to be cleaned because Stones oozed class all afternoon. My heart is always in my mouth a bit when he brings the ball out of defence but at the same time I loved it the two or three times he did it yesterday, exchanging one twos with midfielders. He's not a blood and thunder defender but he won his fair share of headers and made a few blocks. Oh and Andy Carroll is now well acquainted with what Stones' backside smells like because he spent the majority of the game stuck in his back pocket.

Coleman - He didn't offer a hell of a lot going forward but I thought he was brilliant defensively. He mopped up a lot of attacks and showed great stamina tracking back when he had to. Hopefully he'll have fully recovered from his illness by the time we next play and we can see the best of him.

Kone - He hung Galloway out to dry a bit I thought. He very rarely came back to help him out even when it became obvious he was struggling. In terms of his main objective though I thought he did OK - he held the ball up and generally used it well.

Barry - I can't praise him highly enough for his performance yesterday. I thought he was majestic, I really did. We all know his severe lack of pace can be a big liability for us but his positioning will more often than not make up for it, and his positioning against West Ham was second to none. The ball and Barry was the equivalent of flies to shit. Wherever the ball went by our penalty area he was there so it just arrived at his feet or his head. Then he calmly and simply played the right passes to get us moving forward. The most impressive thing for me though was how much he looked after Galloway in the second half as well as doing his central work. He was like a second LB and gave Galloway the protection he desperately needed. So much so that our left wasn't really a problem at all in the second half. My MOTM.

McCarthy - Honestly? The only thing that really stood out for me was his naughty challenge on Payet that deservedly gift him booked.

Deulofeu - After yesterday my man love for Geri has increased hugely, and it was already at alarming levels :P. He wasn't great for the whole game by any means but every time he got the ball I just felt like something could happen. He was so exciting and his ball for Lukaku's goal was another beautiful bit of vision. I just love his positive attitude whenever he got the ball. He does need to improve on his decision-making - sometimes he doesn't need to beat a man and should just get the ball in. He's learning though and it's so exciting watching him learn. I wa ps disappointed to see him subbed off tbh. He was starting to look a bit tired but I still thought he was our best avenue for getting a winning goal.

Barkley - He just sort of coasted through the game didn't he? I don't really think he played too badly, I've certainly been more annoyed with other performances by him, but he really struggled to impose himself on the game and make an impact. And he must learn to get his head up more when he has the ball. He's shown that he possesses good vision, like Deulofeu, but he can't display it if his eyes are fixed down on the ball. Oh and he really needs to step away from set-pieces and let someone else have a go for a while!

Lukaku - He wasn't quite as good as he's been recently but I still thought he was above average and I don't have complaints about his performance. The ball didn't stick as much as it had been but he still showed some good hold-up play and good use of his strength in other situations. And then there's the fact he scored again. It was another cool as a cucumber goal too. Not at his best but still had a massive impact on the game. I can't grumble at that.

Payet out for 3 months and West Ham fans are going mental on Twitter. Even Sullivan's son is stoking the fires. I don't remember our fans making such a fuss over Dier's very similar tackle on Cleverley - maybe we're just a better breed.

My lad was just telling me about that, apparently one said "party round at mine when McCarthy dies".

Classy.

Shows just how reliant they are on Payet. Oh and how they're just fucking scum.

Not entirely sure what they think can be done now?

They're so upset because they are over reliant on him.

Don't get me wrong, we've had cases where our players have been hacked or snapped, been out for lengthy injuries and have been pretty pissed off about it. But I don't go around making silly little pictures, announcing what everybody probably already knows. Not going to change anything.

They need to stop whining. They're getting a brand a new stadium (for nothing) funded and run by tax payers' money. Shut the fuck up, you miserable cockgobblers, you're already sponging it.

This is doing the rounds....

can't see it - but my guess is its something to do with Kendall? I seen it last night, totally disgusting.

That said I wouldn't be happy if other fans were gloating about a tackle that was a yellow or arguably a red that had a key player out for 3 months.

Thats said, the twitter feed has about 70,000 followers and it is a disgrace.
