Matt
There's no way, that if anyone was interested, it would be this close to his rumoured (emphasis there) deadline on his supposed clause without firm offers or talks underway. He's not going anywhere

Peter H
If Moyes wanted him, he would have bought him already. If I were Fellaini and knew Moyes but also knew that Moyes wanted a string of players before coming for me id tell him to fuck off. Im more worried about Arsenal coming for him on the last day of the transfer window. (Arteta)
Shukes
If they come in at the last minute they will need to pay a lot of money for him. Im ok with that if we get top dollar, say 30m. If not then we dont need to sell him so they can **** off! I know that would give us no time to replace him but i am confident we could survive until January without him. We have had spells without him before and actually had great results. What would huirt us is if Gibbo got injured as well, which to be honest is a real worry...hes looking tired pre-season. If we could keep a defensive mid fit then we do have options in attaching mid, Pienaar, Barkley Mirallas could all fill the role. Defensive we have Hiets at a push too. SimonButtle
I don't want to sell to Moyes tbh, he's trying to get players on the cheap and considering some of the comments made when he was manager he can fook off imo. Id sooner sell to Arsenal or just keep him, but not them mancs.

Seriously, does anyone seriously think moyes thinks of us as his only true love - a little bit like on the film Casino where Sharon Stone rips off her new rich husband to fund her trampy ex (James woods)... don't be kidded. He is out for himself. Moyes for me has gone to United thinking he is at the biggest club in the world who can get anyone they think on thr cheap. His behaviour thus far stinks of arrogance. He knew he was going way before anyone else did, tried paltry bids for baines, now looking at a lesser bid for fellaini. For me, I hope he fails at the club. simple as that. Zoo
Love Moyes for what he did whilst he was here but like any other manager he wants what's best for the club he is at now (which includes trying to mug us for our own players). I hope he fails miserably at United and think he will considering the piss poor pre-season they've had thus far.
Peter H
http://www.theguardian.com/football/2013/aug/07/marouane-fellaini-manchester-united-everton I should not have spoken too soon. "Manchester United have opened negotiations with Everton over a deal for Marouane Fellaini, as David Moyes fears that his top midfield target, Cesc Fábregas of Barcelona, could prove out of reach. Moyes, who has so far added only the young Uruguayan full-back Guillermo Varela to his squad before his debut season at Old Trafford, worked with Fellaini at Everton, having signed him for £15m from Standard Liege in 2008. Fellaini is understood to have offers from elsewhere in the Premier League but the 25-year-old would relish the opportunity to join United and continue his working relationship with Moyes. United are in pole position for his signature and they are aware of the £23.5m buy-out clause in his contract, which expires on 15 August. Thereafter, Fellaini's price would be at the mercy of the market"
Zoo
How much would everyone sell Fellaini for though? He's a top player but we could do a lot with £25 million. The only thing that worries me is whether Martinez would use all of that money to sign James McCarthy . 5,000th post

The only thing that worries me is whether Martinez would use all of that money to sign James McCarthy This is what bothers me, if he or curse the thought Baines did go, Id rather see the cash spread about, id rather Jorghino at £9m and say Ince at £8m(i think it was) then there is a bit left over for a signing in january maybe. the possible figures talked about for McCarthy at the moment £15m-20m are crazy money, but Roberto obviously rates him and would like to sign him. duncanmckenzieismagic
I think all this moaning about Moyes is a bit pathetic to be honest. He isnt our manager anymore so why should he be trying to do us any favours? He isnt exactly the first manager to try and sign one of his ex players from his old club and he now needs to do what is best for Man Utd. If you honestly beleive he should be saying to the money men at United that they should pay over the odds or even that they should dive straight in with the asking price in the first offer, because he has a soft spot for Everton then you need to give your head a wobble. Do you think we should offer £20M for Mcarthy just because Martinez has a soft spot for Wigan?? Every club in the land tries it on when negotiating deals for new players, if the price isnt right we turn it down , its that simple Quinn31

Every club in the land tries it on when negotiating deals for new players, if the price isnt right we turn it down , its that simple I think the animosity is due to the disrespectful sums being offered for our star players, rather than an ex-manager coming back (though the way he has left and conducted himself since will add a little extra spice). My irritation is the same as the supposed Wenger interest - he wanted the player but didnt want to pay the sum, so he moaned in public in hopes of putting on the pressure and unsettling the player. Its dirty tactics, just like Hughes used for Lescott. Fearthainn and Romey 1878

Arsenal friends down here tell me that Wenger was not 100% sure about Fellaini and it was being suggested from powers above that it would be a good signing, hence him not wanting to pay the suggested price. They want fellaini for less than £23m??? all this after they snared a manager under contract at the time, who knew he wasn't going to sign his everton contract - yet they communicated it with games remaining to be played??? I hope their time has been and they suffer a Liverpool esque spell out of champs league.

Haf come on mate you know I always agree with you on most things but you really are putting the bitter into bitter blues there. I wish Moyes all the best at United and I personally dont think that he has anything to do with transfer dealings as such as I think the Woodward bloke does all that. Moyes maybe begging the United board to spend £30 million on Baines alone. We just dont know.
