Romey 1878
Playing very solid without doing much. I'm glad he's not trying to do too much tbh.

Lowensda
Nice! That puts us short. Jags - Poor Form Distin - Slowing Alvarez - Never Fit Stones - Now injured We're gonna see Hibbert at CB for Europe again

J*A*C*K*E*L*Z
Not sure if people are just jumping to conclusions but rumours that he will be out for 6 weeks with a hamstring injury. Yea I'm sure we do Steve. We got compo from the Irish FA after Gibbo was crocked playing for them if I remember right.

Shukes
Playing the same as last game. Mature and conservative. Been caught out of position a few tines but the Swiss are so slow to capitalise that it hasn't hurt. But other than that he's been pretty tidy. MikeO
Done OK, but he's not a right back. Wish Seamus was English.
Romey 1878
Done OK, but he's not a right back. Wish Seamus was English. Just looks like a CB playing RB doesn't he? Hope that once he's established at CB for us Hodgson knocks that on it's head straight away.
MikeO
Just looks like a CB playing RB doesn't he? Said on here shitloads of times that I know nothing about defending, but even I can see that.
chicagoblue
Only saw the last 30 minutes of today's match, but was very clear that Stones is constantly getting sucked inside. He doesn't have the natural tendency to hold width as a RB and he's always looking to tuck in and cover. For my money he gave up too much space to their left wing, but as mentioned they were very slow to capitalize. He does better though when it comes to reading play and putting in challenges as the ball arrives.
BlueBlood81
It won't do us any harm Stonesy getting international experience at right back in case we need him to cover Seamus. Rather that than Hibbo! He's definitly not a rightback though.
Hafnia
Not being funny but he's a better option than Phil Jones. Did anyone think he brought the swiss player down when through on goal? Matt
Oztoffee
Thought he did OK though....not out of his depth, just out of position! TV commentator reckoned he looked tired. I didn't notice it myself until then....4 games into the season and still not match fit? The game changed when Jags came on, he really looked fired up and looked more like his old self. Matt
Thought he did quite well, all things considered. Composed, assured, adventurous, good all round performance
Lowensda
Thought he did quite well, all things considered. Composed, assured, adventurous, good all round performance He was easily turned, sloppy in possession and didn't offer himself to attacking players (first half) too. Although, remembering his better position is CB and generally is good at all the above, i'll let him off.

I wasnt sayin he excelled, just playing out of position he did a sound job
Lowensda
Sloppy in possession - Lowest pass completion rate of both teams. For one.
chicagoblue
He was definitely sloppy in possession. Only completed about 68% of his passes if I recall correctly. Yup, per BBC: Did you know? Had the lowest pass completion of any England outfield player against Switzerland (68%).
