This suggests the quality of the chances they are creating is not very good, and this is backed up by an xG of 7.57, which puts them 14th in the league according to Understat. So the only thing Silva has improved is our possession. Anyone willing to admit sticking with Alladyce would have been the better option yet? Can't say, but I do know that I would have any feeling of excitement going to Goodison before each game as I do now. His style of football was dogshit, he treated the fans with contempt, and it was all about self promotion for him, as it always is. Truth is we deserved that as he knew it was short term apppointment albeit highly paid.

Any one seriously think we'd be on less points under Alladyce given this side? No I think you’re right he would probably have about the same but I’m sure he wouldn’t by the end of the season. It’s more than that for me though. Alladyce epitomises everything I don’t want as an Everton manager. He’s disrespectful to his own fans, rude, stubborn and self obsessed. If you have listened to any of his interviews since his sacking on talksport in particular it confirms it. I never wanted him as manager, disappointed he was appointed and very pleased he’s nowhere near our club now or likely to be in the future. barryj
We’re second in the fewest shots faced this season behind Man City. We’ve had 8 more shots faced than city but 10 less than the next team (Chelsea). 44 shots faced and we’ve conceded 9 goals! That’s quite remarkable. ........& not in a good way.
