And here's another quote about Liverpool from that same article at the BBC website:

Their specialist strikers (Daniel Sturridge, Mario Balotelli, Rickie Lambert and Fabio Borini) have scored eight Premier League goals between them this season. Everton's back four (Leighton Baines, Seamus Coleman, Phil Jagielka and John Stones) have scored nine.

Gerrard...

"I was a little bit unsure when I was about five or six whether I was going to be a blue or a red and in the 1986 Cup final when [Gary] Lineker scored I was swaying towards the Blues slightly. But then the Reds turned it around and won 3-1 and from that moment on I was always going to be a red, and the dream was always to follow in the footsteps of those players I was watching."

By that logic (watching the 1966 final at the same age as he was) I could have ended up a Sheffield Wednesday fan :o! Thank-you Trebilcock and Temple :).

Liverpool fans are planning a minute's applause on the 0th minute for his last home game to respect his Premier League haul.

If only he'd got his dream move to Chelsea all those years ago eh? Now that would have been a worthwhile send off as a champion.

After his comments regarding Chelsea fans I doubt he will ever get in Stamford Bridge as a bog cleaner now.

I think Gerrard must have a relative working for the Daily Telegraph. So far this year, there have been several front page photo's of Gerrard in the Sports section. Today, there is a double page spread on Gerrard with big headline 'Gerrard already planning his Liverpool comeback'. I'm thinking of changing to the Sun - only joking.
