We are in a tricky spot at the moment. I think it'll take about 3 years to get some stability back in the club. If that means Allardyce then so be it. I don't give a toss about what he has done in the past. There's a lot of moral high horses here with people making out they are saints and then begging for pirate streams of games.

The Premier League isn't a sport anymore, it's a cut-throat business and fans need to get their heads round that, they really do. You want to play the game fair, then you are going to LOSE because ALL of the other teams will do whatever they can to win the game.

I want to see a nasty streak in our players. Not stupid reckless challenges that injure players and get sent off. Smarter, craftier players. Like the Italians who know how to wind players up. Every team has a player that can get himself sent off, target him and get him riled up. If a full back gets a yellow then fucking run at him all match, we seem to leave them alone when they get booked.

I'm not bothered about hassling the ref, everyone else does it. It's up to the ref and the FA to sort that out so get in their faces and make it ugly.

Get real boys, we aren't everyone else's second team. Most fans want us gone from the Premier League so they can poach OUR players like Barkley, Coleman, Davies etc.

Nothing upset me more than seeing Michael Keane get bulldozed against Atalanta. When I was a Sunday League defender I would have come out for that ball with a big grin on my face knowing I was going to get there first and clatter the striker and get away with it.

When a defender is shepherding a ball out for a goal kick just give him a nudge and make it miserable for them. So long as you're smart and don't get booked then who cares. The next time he'll hoof it out for a throw in.

Can you confirm to me that you're still indeed tall?

Fair enough mate but to me it’s different- you don’t turn your back on it, it’s either in you or it isn’t.

I won’t turn my back on Everton, I know in my heart I won’t. But there’s no way it would ever be the same if we lose our identity.

Can we all now refrain from talking anus, I know it's hard for a lot of you. The facts are pretty clear cut. There is nobody available we must take the best (or worst) of the rest.

This. Though I would be very interested to hear if we contacted Dyche or Howe.

Speaking as a centre-half, in the days before shirt pulling the trick was, just as the free-kick or corner was taken, you stood on the centre-forwards foot.  This had two advantages: 1.It gave you a start like a starting block in sprinting. 2. The centre-forward couldn't move. Evertons defence don't seem either hard enough or crafty enough.

Yeah, but a horribly inbalanced squad and with the TV Money, every PL team has money and breaking down the top six will prove very difficult for any team. Tuchel and Ancelotti are waiting for one of those jobs to open up. Remember when I mentioned that our revenue is closer to Bournemouth than it is to Spurs?

We went after Silva, who appears would've been a great signing but were told off. No idea if we enquired about Dyche or Howe (No idea why we wouldn't.....). Ancelotti, Tuchel are unrealistic.

Every other name is either out of left field (Rangick, Benfica manager), unproven (Think Championship managers, Unsworth), or an old and tired name (Moyes, Big Sam, Pulis, Pardew). Not sure where to put AVB.

So when we spent £140m in the summer having qualified for Europe, were you sat there thinking 'hmm that squad looks horribly unbalanced, there's no way we're going to be chasing top 6 this season'?

You also seem to think there are no managers out there either worthy of the job, or who we are worthy of asking. Not much room for optimism there.

For me, he has a proven track record of keeping clubs in the Premier League and that is our priority this season. The only thing which pisses me off is Steve Walsh seems to have got his pick. He's also got his best mate Craig Shakespeare it seems coming in as his assistant. Steve Walsh was on holiday with Shakespeare and their wives in the summer, which seems like a conflict of interest for me, as he was Leicester Manager at the time!

If Walsh has had a big influence in this, Im concerned that Walsh is Moshiri's guy and he has more of a say than we thought.

You can go back and have a look at my posts from the summer if you want.

I actually would be delighted with Silva, Dyche or Howe. Would understand Big Sam and get behind him.

There's a glaring factual error in that article - Allardyce having an 'impressive track record reviving struggling clubs.' No he doesn't. He's save a few from relegation. I don't think Newcastle fans felt he 'revived' them, I doubt Palace fans do now.

We've gone from a team with top 6 ambitions to a bottom half specialist. I'll be sick if he comes in on a contract beyond the end of the season. Not because he's a prick,  I really don't think he's any good.

"I was brought up to always make your first pass forward if you can," he said on MNF. "Even against the best defensive team in the Premier League, it's a quick forward pass that creates the opportunity to score. Too many sideways or backward passes allow the opposition to get back into their own half and put up two banks of four."

That's Gana and Schneiderlin fucked.

Apparently Ferguson has finally been shown door.

Sadly the same rumours also say Unsworth has too.

Shame if true. No reason he shouldn't step back into his old role like any other caretaker.
