Good performance from Gomes, for the most part. Doucoure head and shoulders best player on the pitch for me. He's got some engine on him... Wiggytop Posted February 3, 2021 Report Share Posted February 3, 2021 Olsen gets my vote, 4 crucial saves in 10 seconds ish, and I think we could have crumbled under the pressure with Pickford in between the sticks due to panicking, Olsen seems to bring a calmer back line when he’s on. ive given a thumbs up to all above as they are all right. pete0 Posted February 3, 2021 Report Share Posted February 3, 2021 Fell asleep watching the Fulham game, woke up seen it was 2 nil and was happy for about 30 seconds. Doucoure and Mina made it that little easier to keep my eyelids open to watch the rest. Mina put in a masterclass in the half I did see but Doucoure just pips him for doing the work of two players if not more, DCL should have put the game to bed thanks to him. Didn't realise it was Olsen in goal at first when that scramble happened. My first thought was Pickford is gonna get it in the neck for that shit show of goalkeeping. I loved his run forward in the first half. I think our centre halves should do this a little more often, as they have it in there locker. Godfrey - excellent. Such a good signing - I absolutely love the lad! Gomes was very good too. Glad to get this one out the way as Leeds are such a dangerous team - so much potential there. London Blue Posted February 3, 2021 Report Share Posted February 3, 2021 Gomes, he was key in midfield for us, his passing was sublime both short and long, his ball control was immaculate and he ran and tackled and intercepted so well. If he had played against Newcastle the result would have been different. Godfrey, Mina, Holgate, Digne, Dacoure, Iwobi, Siggy, DCL, pretty much everyone bar Ritchy played really well. FairWooney Posted February 4, 2021 Report Share Posted February 4, 2021 Some really good defensive performances, weirdly the FPL app gave their man of the match to Calvert-Lewin! He did do a good job though as he often does in games where he's having to take pressure off the defense. Godfrey was outstanding, so impressed with how he's settled in and his quality. His ability to drive forward as well is amazing. The run he made in the first half where he got tackled half way through then just came back out with the ball was better than most attackers. Mina also did a great job, some top defending and like Godfrey made some good forward runs but did make a couple of silly challenges that gave away fouls in dangerous places. Sigurdson much to the disguest of all the haters put in a good performance, took his goal well, a good corner for the second and a couple of other good balls and generally more involved. Richarlison worked really hard, some good defensive work as well as doing a good job when he did get the ball at either keeping possession or trying to make something happen. He was annoyed at coming off but it was clear to see why to add that bit more to the defense. i've gone for Doucoure though, he was an absolute beast, some of his runs with the ball, generally picking someone out, he made a lot of attacks happen and was involved everywhere.
