I went DCL for the first half showing. He was a constant threat. Was involved in most of our forward moves.

But after the first half...it was tough to really single anyone out.

Pickford played his part. Sigurdsson with that wonder goal. Liked the look of Basic, glad he's back and I still believe he's an asset if fit, and Morgan for his game control and sexy touches.

Schneiderlin - what he did may not make the headlines but he was quality throughout and kept his head where a few others had a little wobble.

Yeah thought he was classy throughout, however every now and then goes backward when there is a chance to get the ball forward into space.

Reminds me of Busquets in terms of retaining possession, close control and awareness.

Besic played really well and showed a good understanding with Schneiderlin, his passing was crisp and movement good, pressed well and prepared to get forward at every opportunity, you can see he's a naturally intelligent player with skill.

Even Schneiderlin looked better with him around can see a good partnership forming there.

Who voted Martina? Jesus Christ.

Sig just coz he scored, shite game.

Me, because he was one of only a few who put a shift in for most of the game, Schneiderlin, Besic and Baines being the others. Martina was the only highlight in the first half. Yes, he isn't defensively solid but we never had any problems because of him.

Nobody's choice for motm should be laughed at.

Votes for Siggy could well be questioned, cos apart from his goal he looked like a little boy lost. Did very little in my view but we all see things differently.

So you take the guy who made the most mistakes out of the four you mention who you see as putting in a shift? Martina was absolutely awful for the first 15 minutes or so and only started to come into the game offensively after that impressive cross. That's still the only thing I remember him doing well.

I do believe I watched this match in a different universe than you.
