Harv
Its alright getting into good positions and running your heart out but it counts for nothing if you don’t put the ball in the net as we found out on Saturday. Just not very good at scoring goals unfortunately. He'd probably do much better alongside someone who does have those qualities I mentioned....maybe Lukaku! He’s actually very good at pissing us off as well! Palfy, Cornish Steve, Wiggytop and 1 other

Popular Post Romey 1878
I thought he did really well when he came on. Colour me surprised that he looked much better playing with another striker. Matt, StevO, RuffRob and 4 others
Wall Writer
Thought he tried quite well to link up play around the box, much better suited to that role.

Doucoure’s work rate is second to none but we have nothing in terms of link up around the box & he kills our attacks so often. I really hope Dyche has an arm around Maupay after the game telling him that’s exactly what he wants from him. RuffRob and KinL 1

Newty82
He did actually look better being able to play behind the striker. Linked up really well several times. Is there hope? RuffRob and London Blue
Shukes
He was itching to come on. Did you see his warm up, getting the players to get on with throw ins to speed it up. Made it look like he cared about winning this match. When he came on he carried on that enthusiasm. Popular Post RuffRob
Its possible we could see him as very much a different player this season if the burden of him being put on the pitch as our No.9 lone striker. That has hung heavy with him since his arrival and he has been used as a square peg in a round hole out of nessesity in the squad we have. He's never really had a fair crack at his best position. There maybe is a role for him in the squad. When we needed to put the pressure on last night, he definatley brought something of the bench and added to our attacking threat. Very much involved in the winner. If Iwobi does go this window, then we might be glad of Maupy to come on and play more as a 4-4-2 as we try and change a game in the final 20-30mins. If other personel do leave this window, then I don't beleive there should be to much of a hurry to move Maupy on this transfer window - Especially if his stock is maybe a little low at the moment, and he may flurish with a strong No.9 on the pitch next to him. Wiggytop
I’m amazed but I’m agreeing with RuffRob here, his stock is low, not a good time to sell unless a stupid offer came in.

That's fair enough. We all have players we rate even when the stats suggest we shouldn't. I for instance am a fan of Godfrey still , so take my opinion with large pinch of salt Maupay tho, without a partner, should've had a hat trick vs Fulham but couldn't finish his dinner I don't see a role for him, that's all Matt

I wasn’t against signing him but when we signed him Brighton weren’t playing him, they had wellbeck etc ahead of him. whatever we think he was - he isn’t. No pace, no strength, can’t finish, no skill. Formby
