I didn't realise Branthwaite wasn't doing that well over in the Eridivisie though. It might just be that his face doesn't fit but I can't imagine you find many defenders that can't cut it there coming over here and making a career for themselves. Sometimes I think it makes more sense to throw players into the gauntlet(a lá start him in the PL). Some thrive that way. It’s a risky move though. For me, I think Tarkovski / Godfrey / Branthwaite and possibly Coady would be more than enough. I know Godfrey has struggled for form but his pace is such an asset and with Branthwaite getting good game time that could be a good combo at some point.
