After all his years in the premier league Seamus still can't cross a ball.

Definitely not a strength of his, which is why his perfect cross, left-footed no less, to Onana in the second half was such a surprise.  I guess Onana was shocked, as he missed a free header that would have made it 1-3 and saved us all a lot of fretting.

More left-footed crosses from Coleman, please.

Absolutely huge miss for us…. Huge.  He completely changes the nature of our play with his willingness to get forward and creates pockets for the midfield.

people think of his position as to how we defend, it’s more than that, he impacts our transition and stop’s opponents over committing cos he can hurt them.

Don’t need him, not like Coleman has been shit. Would be nice to have him back, but no rushing required.

I think having Coleman at right back vs Patterson is a big difference in how we look on the ball.  Coleman hasn’t done anything wrong but you can’t replace what Patterson gives us going forward and I’ll be extremely excited to see how Calvert lewin benefits from the added width and counter attacking potential.

Don’t disagree with any of that.

Not to mention you get Onana breaking in to the box as well. I don’t think many centre halves will relish both Onana & DCL in the box with crosses coming in.

He needed to be taken out of the limelight, this could end up being ideal for him. I just hope it doesn’t affect him as his last minutes on the pitch we’re listening to boos.

He has had a few terrible weeks. But he is definitely a player I think has a very good future ahead of him. He needs cover that side, but it’s his permanent position down the line.
