Myko has had his shaky moments that’s for sure but he looks a lot more settled now.

Perhaps with Myko & Branthwaite in the back 4 Dyche is concerned of a lack of experience but it is definitely time for a change of personnel at RB

Mykolenko at one point was reportedly told by Dyche he was a long way off from being PL standard, and then dropped by Dyche who obviously didn’t rate him and replaced by Godfrey who was given a few starts that were terrible so had to be dropped and with no other options Mykolenko was brought back in and given a run in the team settled grew in confidence and proved he is more than capable of the standards required for the PL. Patterson has had the same said about him, but unlike Mykolenko he hasn’t had the same opportunity as Mykolenko with a decent run in the team to settle and grow, because Dyche has refused to see and acknowledge how poor Young has been, yet I firmly believe if he had dropped Young 6-7 games ago we would have had two very good FBs in Mykolenko and Patterson but instead we only have one because of Dyche’s belief in the more experienced Young because of his age and time spent in the PL, yet he has shown very little ability to warrant his place in the team. Patterson should be given the RB position and allowed a run in the team I think it would be pretty much impossible for him to be worse than Young and who knows we could see similar success as we did with Mykolenko.

He’s that experienced his legs don’t work any more.

Exactly what I was getting at he has the experience of the PL Dyche’s looking for because of his age and years playing in the league, unfortunately what ever abilities he may have had have now deserted him and he’s now an experienced liability.

Coleman will take his place soon enough.

Theres no guarantee Coleman will come back and be able to perform. The man is incredible in how many times he been written off but still delivered.

No doubt he should be ahead of Young but it would break my heart watching Coleman get torn to shreds each week like Young is.

Looking back at this season, I don't agree that Young is as poor as made out. He was brought in on the cheap to do a job, and he did it. Without the points deduction, we're a solid mid-table team, and Young played his part. He made not be a star player at this point, but he does deserve some credit.

He has done ok, met expectations, which were pretty low to be fair, but he has provided a player who can play but is limited.

Its more that he has impeded the development of Pattinson, but that's not on Young, that's on Dyche for selecting him

What if he’s just not as good as we hoped he would be?

What if, let’s at least get an opportunity to see for ourselves, let’s also remember what Dyche said about Patterson he also said about Mykolenko, and how wrong was he about him probably one of the first names on the team sheet now.

Young’s been a useful player in a small squad with questionable quality. He’s covered 3 positions and been fit available for the majority of the season. He’s had some poor performances but actually, some very solid ones too. In an ideal world, we don’t need to sign geriatrics like Young but in our current predicament, he’s been sound. I bet he’s been a positive influence in the changing room too.

Despite all the positives, I hope we don’t offer him a new deal but am grateful he was part of an improving (compared to the previous 2 years) EFC this season.

It all fairness, he's done that he was brought in to do. It was never going to be pretty if we had to play him but he did occasionally contribute in a positive way. I'd still rather not need him next season.

Catastrophic in the defence for us. Yeah, thanks a fucking bunch for that.

I do, however, wish him the best of luck with his "new life" off the pitch.

One of the best defences in the league and Young has played his part… he’s made mistakes - as they all have but he’s certainly not been catastrophic.

Have it your way or not. Couldn't care less cos when you can't see what I see then there's no reason to debate.
