MikeO
I cut the grass in the front and back garden. I have a for sale sign up in the front garden, but my lawn mower won't go between the posts so now it looks untidy. Hate it when that happens. StevO
Not a bad suggestion MC, but I just can't be bothered. I'm too lazy and I'm not getting any service, I mean support, from the wife.

MikeO
you can't pick up the sign move it and then cut and put it back? Don't be silly Mark, over here we have butlers to do that sort of thing .
StevO
It was bad enough to get the sign to stay in the ground on the waste land they built on here. I'm not moving it, and neither is Jeeves.
markjazzbassist
then what does the butler do? just hand you crumpets and tea and talk about how great the empire is? do they still dress you guys like in downton abbey?
Newty82
Get a strimmer on the bits around the sign. My strimmer comes out for the awkward bits. Especially when it's time for a bit if 'manscaping'.

Louis
It's a portmanteau for string trimmer. I found myself spending an hour or so watching This Old House on Youtube the other night. After a while you notice how the homeowners are fed questions to ask, some are terrible actors.

Shukes
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-merseyside-39736092 Tired and bored of this. Don't give them the air time, not worth the time and effort. Let it die a slow boring, insignificant death.

Elston Gunnn
Barkley can't pass a ball to anyone in his team despite being a professional footballer. Need a number 10 who can provide splitting passes through a defence, Ross has never been able to do that well, and never will. AL's point (from MOTM thread) seems spot on to me, and is very, very worrying. Barkley was probably the anti-MOTM today. He does sparkle on occasion, including passing, displaying his great physical skills, including strength and remarkable balance. But too often he just wanders around the pitch, 2 steps behind where he should be, and going forward seemingly obsessed with over-clever dribbling. He doesn't like to get in the box much, either. Will he ever become a first-rate footballer? It's an open question, which is not a good sign for a club with real aspirations. Barkley presents a delicate problem. Romey 1878
Dunno where his head was at today but he played like a little boy lost. I hope he gets back to the form he showed pre-derby soon.

Don't let my dissapointment get the better of me. We know what he can do. And the right players around him in the right set up, could be a catalyst for a new Everton. markjazzbassist
not good enough, missing most of the match, was close to a player with the ball SO MANY times and loafed, didn't even try and jog to square up or defend or press, just loafed around the park as if he were Ronaldo and only needs to be in the attacking half to score. sorely let down by one of my favorites. i'm begining to think he's just not that good.
