Hafnia
Ffs, it's in the bag. Chill out. If it wasn't you'd be hearing about upstarts like Newcastle getting involved. He's 100% nailed on. Lets get him in and get a proper pre season done and sort some iffy attitudes out including gerrys, roms and barkleys. Would include kev but he's off. Btay
Its just refreshing to see business getting done early in the window. Hopefully we get another 3 ( CAM, CB and Winger ), hold onto everyone but if were going to lose Kev lets lose him early, replace him and as Haf said getting a proper pre season in is vital given our starting run! Its just because it's such a good piece of business I'm expecting something to go wrong. Like we buy him but there a writ in the contract that we have to loan him to Liverpool for two years...which we have to pay for..and give them an option to buy after that time for 1m. Or something like that! Matt

He'll probably be about to sign and we will of forgotten to bring a pen and he'll get in a huff and Brenda will be parked outside Finch Farm and lure him over to those crabs. Orsonething equally as unbelievable.

Paddock
I'm still not having this is happening. I'm firmly in the "until I see him in an Everton shirt on th official site it's not happening" brigade. Kant
badaids
I saw the Mail reporting the deal was £2.2 million this morning. If that's true, even if there are some serious add-ons, it could be a complete fucking bargain. Very exciting.

Hafnia
"The buyback fee increases year on year reaching €14 million in the final year. If Barca don't exercise the option in any year, Everton can sell the player at any time." Hmmm, soooo. If we think he is gonna be an absolute star and sets the world alight and Barca don't take up the option to buy in that instance could we sell him to lets say Swansea - ask them to loan him to us and then we put a buy back deal in the transfer for lets say £4m more than what they "paid" us. That effectively wipes out the concern that they can buy him back. Loop hole.....
Paddock
If all this being printed is true then the lads one of us, he's a blue and he's been touched. Absolutely made up with him if it's true.

Hafnia
Which then potentially ruins our relationship with Barca yep, that is a consideration, however "IF" he starts becoming the £70m player that his talent could elevate him to then its a tough decision. To be fair Barca aside from tax evasion and signing teenagers whne they shouldn't conduct themselves pretty well in transfer dealings - far moreso than Real. MikeO
I dunno, some clubs aren't very good at some things like this:- see Dan Gosling Ridiculous to keep dragging this up. We took a man at his word and he did the dirty on us, it says more about Dan Gosling (and his agent) than it does about us. Presumably as a result the suits have become more cynical which is wise, but a shame surely? duncanmckenzieismagic, Matt and Sibdane
Kant
I dunno, some clubs aren't very good at some things like this:- see Dan Gosling Some clubs have a better reputation and still may feel that it is a gentlemen's agreement. Do not forget the fact that if Deulofeu were to become a star, and Manchester United/City makes an offer of £80m, while Barcelona offers €14m, it will go down to the player's choice at the end. And most likely he'll want to go back home.
Toffeeman007
Ahhh dunno about that... player gets a portion of transfer... tough to pass on 10-15% of 35, 50 or 80 million as you say... hopefully he is smarter now and realizes the value of a team/Manager that actually want him, believe in him and play him...
