MikeO
Best player in the world that didn't play well all tournament even when he wasn't being man marked. Tracking just one man around the pitch and having nothing else to worry about is far easier than analysing and responding to various situations as you would get in a system. Maybe, but Mo still deserves a chance for me. Could be great.
Bill
If he can keep fit I would have him in before McCarthy or Barry. Fitness and no injuries is key.
StevO
Mo won't be sold. No one will want to buy him. He's shit. Discuss. Quinn31
London Blue
Mo won't be sold. No one will want to buy him. He's shit. Discuss. Agree Not till he has a season under his belt He is a Koeman type of player, lots of energy and pressing, good technique, likes to pass the ball forward. With Europa and the likelihood of McCarthy leaving he will get his chance.
EFC-Paul
I like Besic I think there's a great player there he just needs to get a good run of games in a system that suits him and it wasn't likely to happen under Martinez He'll be great in the dogged games that we need to grab by the scruff of the neck
StevO
Technique is ok, likes to pass the ball forward is closer to tries to pass the ball forward for me. Ah, forget it, he's still shit.

coxy051
Haha mike!We need to give him a good go at it before we write him off! Think there's a good player in there, an as said a koeman type player full of energy a great tackler and still young at 24.

Quinn31
This is the man who shut down Messi in the WC and people want rid ? Astonishing; he's been injury-prone for sure thus far but deserves a go. and Naismith scored a hattrick against Chelsea. I don't rate him. He works hard, but that's about it. plaidharper
Looked tidy at CB, carrying the ball out. (in the pre-season game against FC Twente) Wonder if this had something to with Galloway, Browning, and Pennington all going out on loan. Played there for the U23's when he was coming back from injury. It's another option...
Romey 1878
Played there for the U23's when he was coming back from injury. It's another option... He'd played there his entire career until he was asked to man-mark Messi.
Aidan
Looks good there but would be more suited in a back 3.
Elston Gunnn
With Funes Mori out for long time, Besic looks like backup LCH. Has played there in both friendlies, looked confident enough.
Newty82
He'd played there his entire career until he was asked to man-mark Messi. Ah really? Then converted to a so called DCM? Fair enough. I like the bloke, so hope he gets a role to play.

nyblue23
Excited by Koeman's willingness to play him anywhere, frankly. Think he's a good player and brings a lot of grit to the side. Don't really care where in the back half of the pitch he plays, just want to see him get some time.
duncanmckenzieismagic
This^ I've said before that I can see Besic playing as a left back in a back 4 or a left centre back in a back 3. He's too small to be a straight up centre back and he has an urge to get forward. He just looks like a left back to me. I've always wanted to see him tried out there. If he gets played at LB let's hope he does a much better job than when Martinez tried him at RB Edited July 19, 2017 by duncanmckenzieismagic
DownUnderToff
If he gets played at LB let's hope he does a much better job than when Martinez tried him at RB Isn't he right footed though? Playing on his wrong side would have to be detrimental to any crossing ability.

rubecula
Isn't he right footed though? Playing on his wrong side would have to be detrimental to any crossing ability. Why would it I am a left footer who played at RFB (mind you I was shite anyway) Definitely got a bit of the Pat Van Den Hauwe's about him. PVDH was as good as Baines imho and as you say he was a right footed LFB. I would be happy if RK put Mo. there to do a job.

Hafnia
I like PVDH but he wasn't a patch on Baines. At his best Baines is the best left back I've seen for Everton.
