January Transfer Window

Recommended Posts

Don't worry lads. Tomorrow is Transfer Deadline Day and we'll have the joy of having to listen to Jim White on Talksport all day teasing us with rumour galore.

And who doesn't like a bit of constant Twitter refreshing to make the day go a little bit quicker.

At the end of it all, we'll all be just too tired to care anymore, so we can fall asleep easily knowing we'll probably wake up the morning after to find out we found the fax machine in the old store room and managed to get the papers in just in time to sign a 33 year old proven yet injury prone league one striker on a 8 year contract.

COYB!

I'm now getting the horrible feeling we are getting transfer window scraps at best.

The timing of Lampard's departure could not have been worst. Lost Danjuma, and possibly other targets with the turmoil of the past week (on top of what has gone before).

Is it really worth bring in January scraps? Could simply be a massive waste of money.

Would we be better off saying to Dyche - do the very best with what you have got?  with the real focus on the summer be it in the Championship or Premiership.  I really can't see the point of dicking around with Ayew type signings. it's Rondon 2.0. Its only going to be other teams shit that is wanting to be palmed off with hours to go.

Promote the best U21 youngsters and really test their metal before next season - cost is zero. I'll have as much faith in this approach than bring in a aged Ayew who has been let go by some middle east club.

This window could be the final nail for the board. For the fans who are indifferent to the board and their responsibility- this could be something that enrages them.

there is no way that thelwell will not have had player’s identified. It’s the slugs and egos on the board.

The problem seems to be 100% be that players don't want to come here.  The timing of Lampard's sacking has a lot to blame for this. Started with Danjuma and it's pretty much infected every players decision to come here. It now seems and impossible task.

This club is total tainted this window.

If Dyche somehow manages to keeps us up with the players we have and the mood around the place he will deserve some praise .

The biggest issue is that we didn’t use the World Cup as the opportunity to make change, it was clear after the Bournemouth games that lampard was done.

we have made a complete balls up.

we need to think “what would Everton do”

There's no need to panic. Our squad isn't that bad, quite honestly. There's just one big hole: the lack of a powerful, goal-poaching striker. I'll be context if the only transfer is the lad from Coventry.

He’s not coming. We only have dcl who is made of china and maupay who isn’t really a striker.
