I am thinking that Ancelloti may have put him on of for the last few minutes at the weekend for a final run out at Goodison and a bit of closure on his Everton career. Never wanted him and was proved right that he was a waste of transfer fee and wages. Sad but he never reached the same heights as he did with arsenal. Would I class him as a brilliant signing? No. But he wasn't a bad signing all in all. He scored a few goals for us, some very important. Put a shift in. Showed some glimpses of quality. It's just that he wasn't consistent and that's always been his problem. I'm not sad to see him go but I'm not jumping for joy about it either, he goes with my best wishes. Southampton, especially because of his history there is a good fit for him and Theo always came across as a good lad, nothing but good wishes to him on his (expected) move now being confirmed.
