Personally I'd be over the moon. Yes he doesn't have a long track record but as highlighted above he has a lot of positives (notably working with youth). His PL experience can't be understated and if we can somehow get out of this mess this year we could have someone for the longer term rather than just a stop gap.

Time will tell of course, but I'm happy with it.

 I had been waiting for years for someone to come along with deep pockets and put us back in the top flight. Instead of which, we are in free fall and could land in the Championship.

If we intend dipping into the transfer market again. The clock is ticking.
