Felt like I have just rewatched the Southampton game again, shite performance but we have ground out a result and came away with another 3 points and another clean sheet

Nobody really played well but have to go for either Pickford for the early save or Richarlison for the goal because nothing else happened all game , so I’ve gone with the latter

Richarlison. Really Great save by Pickford but got bailed out by offside as he was caught with indecision .... He is looking better though

Yeah I think it’s the weakest part of his game, dealing with those balls. Some of it is probably just a lack of size which comes with a lack of confidence when dealing with that situation. I’m not sure if he would have gotten to that one but a truly world class keeper might have just thrown himself at it and gotten the punch, not afraid to take out whoever was in the way

Don't think Allan was very impressive, average sort of performance. In games like this Davies is a big loss to us.

I think Allan's value more than anything is his positioning and decision making is top class.  It's the stuff you can take for granted - his execution of passes and tackles is so efficient

He doesn't look like he does much when in actual fact he does.

gareth barry esque

He did a scissors kick clearance last night.  High risk for the average player but he doesn't do stuff like that needlessly - very very smart player.  A managers dream.

I would compare him to a Roy Keane type player.  Far better technically that given credit for because he's not about looking good more doing what's right

Except he’s not a vicious, monotonous fuckwit

He's got that in the locker I reckon but the football similarities are there with Keane.

Pitch and footballing intelligence I agree, but when he’s been interviewed he seems quite humble, ie the polar opposite of Keane

I actually  think Keane is far smarter than given credit for.  Both carragher and Richards have said he's a spot on bloke.

Keane is a proper family man who barring his earlier days shunned the limelight.

He knows how to act the part and his insights into how young professionals would ruin the game was spot on.

I can only judge him or anyone on what I see. If he has an alter ego for the media and game, that’s the one I’m commenting on, not his “true” person.
