FairWooney
I'm hoping Bernard hasn't gone anywhere. He is at times a quality player for us, a bit lightweight but works really hard, has some good skills and importantly can do a job on both wings and in the middle. He might not be happy at being on the bench but we can't afford to let him go right now.

pete0
Rather have kept Walcott. We've got Richarlison, Iwobi and Gordon who all play on the left. If we're keeping Bernard we should at least send Gordon out on loan to get some experience/minutes.
Aidan
Wonder with Sigurdsson and Gomes struggling to find form if we could implement him into a kind of 4231? Doucoure Allan James Bernard Richarlison DCL Not sure of how it would work tactically, but he seems more comfortable in the centre and he seems to do better than Gomes and Siggy when he plays. Matt
Bernard played well last game, but it seems he’ll never be a 90 minute player. I’d love to see that line up though, because even with his faults, he’s a little terrier and having him centrally allows him to link up with 5 players (Coleman, James, DCL, Digne and Richarlison) meaning he never had to be on the ball long whilst have defensive cover of Allan and Doucoure
Bailey
I still think he gets brushed over too easily when he is in those central positions up against centre halves and central midfielders. He needs space to play and he has more chance of that wider. He has done better than expected in a more central role though and he isnt a player I would be in a rush to move on. Popular Post Shukes
I thought he had a real good cameo. Came on and changed the game for us. Some great touches and turns. Sibdane
According to Alan Myers, Dubai-based club Al Nasr are interested in signing him before the window is closed. I'd rather until the summer if we're going to sell him.

I hope we do sell for £10m - the fee and high wages off the books makes business sense for a bit part player. I do wonder if the timing of Odegaard asking for a loan - someone who Ancelotti bought and trained with the Real 1st team (at the age of 15) - may create an opportunity for us. He did well enough for Real to cut short his 2 year loan deal this summer but he’s found himself out of the 1st team again. markjazzbassist and Matt

Was phenomenal for Sociedad last season and would be a fantastic creative option to have come off the bench or push for a place in the XI

That’s a very decent fee for him and, like you say, it’s big wages off the books as well.
StevO
The wages off the books is one thing, but in the accounts he’s never been that expensive with having no transfer fee. So if we got £10m for him that goes in a 100% profit. Would help offset any losses on shifting deadwood who still have transfer fees in the accounts (Bolasie please). Wiggytop
I’d take the £10m, I’m always hopeful he will come good, but he never seems to do enough for me, not consistent enough, I know this will annoy many but I’d pay the same for Josh King who I think is far more versatile and consistent, wouldn’t pay him a big salary as has been reported though. pete0 and AlbanyNYToffee
Matt
Think he’s worth way more than that personally, considering the market. But even as a fan of his, can’t deny he hasn’t had the impact I hoped he would.
