There is a reason why those lads who do the football tricks on TV don't play professional football!

We should earn some of the money that we spent on him by getting him to do tricks outside Goodison on game day.

My lad watches the two you tube lads, and their tricks are ridiculous. They can curl a free kick better than Beckham, and have better control than Maradonna. Not sure they can play football though.

Then can curl a free kick better than Beckham and control a ball better than Maradona on the videos that you see, but what you don't see is that it probably took them more than a hundred tries to "nail it" (which you don't get in an actual game). If they were as good as Messi and Ronaldo, which their YouTube page suggests then they'd be on £500,000 a week at one of Europe's elite clubs.

It's also well documented that Jeremy Lynch (one of the F2 that you allude to) has a disgraceful attitude and a massively inflated opinion of himself - famously said that he had better technique while he was in Arsenal's academy than any of the first team (who, for reference were the famous Invincibles).

Oh I don't disagree at all mate. But I’ve saw so many skilful players in my time, that were useful on a football pitch. I k ow lads that can do 100+ kick ups with ease, but can’t get into the Pheasant team in brook side!

I was with you until you said when he was in the academy. He had an attitude as a kid (or teenager maybe)? Come on Zoo.
I used to rob sweets and porno mags from the corner shop because the old dear in there wasn’t going to chase a few kids for the sake of a few quid. We all grow up mate. Ish.

I’d be shocked if plenty of other talented kids in football academies didn’t act the same and have plenty of attitude and high opinions of themselves. Shouldn’t be holding that against them in their adult lives.

No no, he says that now - as in, he said it then and stands by it . If it was a comment made as a kid then yeah, totally agree with you (apart from the growing up bit ...)

Haha sorry mate, I thought you were giving him shit for being an arrogant teenager. 😂

I think he will do much better under Benitez, he will get more detailed instruction and coaching. It looks like there is more freedom for attacking players when in transition and counter attacking.

Like Grey he has so much talent, lets hope they can show it this season.

Hold on, is it more detailing instruction & coaching or more freedom? 😂

I want the Iwobi we're seeing this season to be the real Iwobi. He's been great starting and he's really made a difference when he's come on as well.

I doubt he'll ever be worth what we paid for him but if he's able to contribute then I'm more than happy to have him in an Everton shirt.

Looks more like the Iwobi I thought we were signing. Dynamic and strong on the ball. Really want to see him as part of a midfield 3 with 1 sitter and someone alongside him more advanced.

Pretty stuff but still zero end product imo, be very happy if he proved me wrong.

He has failed to impress so far, but it seems to be improving, assist for Doucoure, goal at  Huddersfield, and a neat pass for a Gomes to assist Townsend in same game spring to mind immediately. If he can keep it up and add more I’ll be happy.
